well hello there long lost friend.

I have blogging commitment issues. Whatever part of my brain that tells me when I blog or workout, appears to be slightly dysfunctional. Or maybe its just the slight ADD.

I'm good at updating a page header hear and there, but to actually blog...now that's another story.

So, I am attemptig to set a goal for myself. As I turn 24, to start capturing life a little better. Whether that be through photos, blog, etc... here's to trying.

Stay tuned for some well needed catchup posts.

what a pickle

A few weekends ago, Zach and I traveled home to Alabama to visit with our families. On Saturday we went to my parent's house, where the garden of vegetables is overflowing. As we were leaving to make the long 2 mile trek to Zach's parent's house Mom told us to take Zach's family some cucumbers. Somehow this led to a discussion on cucumbers, on how neither Zach nor I like them. Mom then asked Zach- "Do you like Pickles?" Zach look a little confused and said no. Needless to say Zach learned on that day that Pickles are made from Cucumbers.

I have to admit, mom and I got quite the laugh over this one. His innocence about it all was precious. Once again, my husband had me laughing.

So the lesson for the day is pickles are just a fancy cucumber.

hey grandma.

This past week, I made Zach an apricot nectar cake since I was going to be gone for several days with work. As I was taking the cake out of the oven he informed me of the following:

"You're going to make a good grandma one day"
When I asked why, I was informed that its because I can cook good cakes, casseroles and such. Then he added in that sometimes I act like one.

Oh dear husband, luckily I love you so and don't find being called a grandma offensive, especially since he acts like a grandpa :)

I love how adorable my husband is and that he appreciates my cooking.

enjoy the little things in life :)
